AWS EC2 explained in simple terms

AWS EC2 is a web service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that offers resizable compute capacity in the cloud. Let me explain!

AWS EC2 Explained With Simple Terms.

What is Amazon EC2?

Elastic Compute Cloud or EC2 allows you to rent virtual computers, also called instances, in the cloud.

It’s like having your own computer, but instead of it sitting on your desk, it’s located in a data center run by AWS.

What are the Benefits of EC2?

EC2 provides virtual machines that you can use to run your applications, software, or store data.

  • EC2 is flexible: Pick the best computer for your specific needs without owning physical hardware. You can choose the type of virtual computer you need based on its processing power, memory, storage, and networking capacity.

  • EC2 is a Pay For Usage model: Pay for the time you use the virtual computer only. It’s like paying for electricity. If you need a powerful computer for a day, you pay for that day and then stop it.

  • EC2 is scalable: Adjust the power of your computer with a simple switch. You can easily scale up (get a more powerful instance) or scale down (get a less powerful instance) depending on your needs.

  • EC2 has an On-Demand Access: Get access quickly and easily to a virtual computer whenever you need it, without having to wait for physical hardware to be set up.

AWS EC2 offers virtual computers in the cloud that you can rent, use, and customize based on your computing needs, providing flexibility, scalability, and on-demand access to computing resources. Have you used EC2 before?
